MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Dec. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Manufacturing Leadership Council, a global business network for senior industrial executives, today announced the election of Richard Sade, vice president and chief operating officer of S&S Hinge, to the Manufacturing Leadership Council's Board of Governors.

The Board of Governors, which steers the Manufacturing Leadership Council and its global community of 5,000 industry executives, approved Sade's nomination in a unanimous vote at its quarterly meeting. With Sade's appointment, the Board of Governor's ranks expand to 17 members, who hail from organizations such as Ford Motor Co., Lockheed Martin, Dell, Cisco Systems, UCLA, MIT, L'Oreal, and GlaxoSmithKline.

Sade joined S&S in 2004 after three decades with Fortune 400 companies, and is an expert in operations management of highly engineered industrial products. Sade is an active member of the Tooling & Manufacturing Association, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, has served on the Board of Directors for the Precision Metal Forming Association for the past four years, and is that group's Chicago district chairman. He has an MBA in industrial management from Purdue University and is certified in production and inventory control management (CIPM). Sade was a founding member of the Manufacturing Leadership Council and has been an active participant for the last seven years.
