Niklas Bjorkman wrote: Firstly I agree with your conclusion. NewSQL takes the best of the traditional databases and NoSQL databases to combine the benefits of both worlds. I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

Sophisticated Tampa Accommodations 'Cater' to Local Needs
Kosher Kitchen Adds Flexibility for Celebrating Important Jewish Events

TAMPA, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 12/18/12 -- "Catering" to the needs of the local community, sophisticated Tampa accommodations have gone above and beyond to provide local businesses, groups and organizations with the things they need for special events and gatherings.

Leading the way among service-oriented and high-tech event venues in Tampa, the impressive Tampa Airport Marriott brings new meaning to "full-service" by maintaining a Kosher Kitchen and a complete set of dishes, all used exclusively for celebrating local Jewish traditions. Now in its sixth year of operation, the hotel's Kosher Kitchen was added to meet the needs of the local Jewish community in celebrating life's special moments.

"We have built a strong relationship with the Tampa Jewish community and the Kosher Kitchen allows us to participate in celebrations like Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, anniversaries and multigenerational family reunions," said Zach Curry, general manager of the hotel, which is a favorite choice among Tampa wedding venues and a prominent destination for business conferences and corporate meetings.

Maintaining the facility with the assistance of a supervising rabbi, the hotel has designated separate storage space for Kosher dishes and the area can only be accessed by the rabbi or his assistant. The dishware is identical to that used throughout the hotel, but was purchased specifically for the Kosher Kitchen and includes separate sets for dairy and meat menus. The kitchen also has its own dishwashers to handle the dishes and the rabbi, who stays in the kitchen through meal preparation, is also on hand after the event to ensure dishes are properly washed and stored. Ovens are also locked and while use of the kitchen is under the direction of a supervising rabbi, it may also be used by other rabbis. Currently the kitchen is equipped to serve 100 persons or less, mainly due to the amount of oven space available.

Adding flexibility to Tampa event planning, the Kosher Kitchen is representative of the Marriott's dedication to providing personalized service to ensure the success of every event. Offering 18,000 square feet of well-appointed event space, including the Hillsborough Grand Ballroom, 16 meeting rooms, elegant pre-function areas, a meticulously landscaped outdoor patio and customized menus, this dynamic hotel property is an ideal choice for nearly any occasion.
