I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. Mistletoe, Wine and the Photocopier - 30% Have Hooked up at a Work Christmas Party, Reveals JustSingles.com Survey

LONDON, December 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

Dating site JustSingles.com have surveyed over 5000 people to find out who they are dreaming of this Christmas, unveiling some naughty home-truths along the way...

Over a third of those surveyed have got it on with a colleague at a Christmas work do, with a further 7% of those questioned being in a relationship at the time!

Cheryl Cole topped the list of the ideal festive party date, with Kelly Brook only two votes behind Cheryl's coiffed hair. TV's golden girl Holly Willoughby came third place.

George Clooney was voted the most popular choice with the ladies, with a 15% lead over Brad Pitt, who came in second. Fictional character Christian Grey from kinky bestseller, Fifty Shades of Grey, received the same number of votes as comedian Lee Evans, however the answer 'ex partner' received 3 times more votes than both.

Nearly 5% of people asked have broken up with someone to avoid buying them a Christmas present, with 1.7% of those getting back together after Christmas! 9.6% have lied to their relatives about their single status to avoid answering awkward questions over the festive period.

We asked everybody what was at the top of their Christmas list this year - a relationship, an iPad or an experience day. An overwhelming 77% said a relationship.

Paul Fitzpatrick, Head of Marketing at JustSingles.com, commented:

"With the heady mix of social gatherings and family time plus the pressures of spending Christmas Day itself with loved ones, the festive season can sometimes put a heavy focus on your single status, as the results of our survey have illustrated. We always see a huge surge in new members from Boxing Day through to January and look forward to welcoming new members who want to change their relationship status in 2013."
