"Bottoms Up" and "A Better Breakfast" Airing Now Through New Year's Day; New Series "Cooking With Grandma" Begins December 29 on Portico TV's CHOW.com Channel

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/21/12 -- Last-minute holiday cooks and party hosts can find plenty of inspiration on the CHOW.com channel on Portico TV. Airing now through January 1, the "CHOW Theme Show" will feature its new episodes: "A Better Breakfast" (which walks viewers through the art of creating better morning fare for family and guests) and "Bottoms Up" (which offers recipes, tricks and tips in the art of mixology). Starting December 29, the CHOW channel debuts a new series, "Cooking with Grandma," featuring guest grandma chefs and their grandchildren creating culinary delights and great memories. All the CHOW shows run 30 minutes or longer on Portico TV.

"Whether you know what you're doing or not, you'll be in the kitchen over the holidays," said Jane Goldman, CHOW's Editor-in-Chief. "CHOW's here to help. With our channel, you'll have the know-how to make anything from the holiday roast to a festive dessert. We'll even show you how to cure a hangover."

The CHOW.com channel on Portico TV is easy-to-navigate. When viewers select the channel, the screen displays a video window with Goldman talking about what's new. The adjacent windows show CHOW programs including "The CHOW Theme Show," "Supertaster," "CHOW Tips," "Obsessives" and, starting December 29, "Cooking with Grandma." The viewer can select any of these 30-minute programs to go to full screen.

"These are CHOW's expert culinary videos packaged into long-form programming for the living room. We want viewers to sit back, relax and get inspired to do some great holiday cooking," said Jim Monroe, co-founder and senior vice president of programming for Net2TV.
