James Arthur Triumphs on the X Factor

LONDON, December 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

On Sunday 16th December James Arthur sang his way into TV history by winning the ninth series of the X Factor. He now joins such exceptional talents as Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke amongst those who have emerged from the show, and thus won the £1million recording contract courtesy of Simon Cowell's SyCo records.

James was able to see off powerful-voiced Jahméne Douglas and unexpected crowd-favourite Christopher Maloney with strong performances of "Feeling Good" and "Make You Feel My Love", a duet with his mentor Nicole Scherzinger. From now on, he will be working hard to imitate Leona Lewis' soaring career, rather than Steve Brookstein's which plummeted, Icarus-like, soon after he won the competition.

So far the signs are looking hopeful, as James's debut single "Impossible" immediately broke X Factor records, clocking up 490,000 downloads within the first day. XFactornatics will be eager to snap up this single, and many are already looking forward to when all of the contestants go on tour next year. But for fans worried about getting their fix- never fear! There are a range of follow-up programmes planned to track how the contestants are getting on since the show finished.

Turning from what you've been watching to where you've been watching it, CSL sofas have been offering some incredible deals on their elegant range of sofas in the run-up to Christmas.
