I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

Mums Could Take Advantage of Kids-Go-Free Travel Insurance

LEEDS, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 01/04/13 -- Asda research reveals that a massive 72% of mums feel they have most of the responsibility for running the household and family life.

Whether cooking, cleaning, food shopping or family holidays - mums are actively involved in all aspects of running the home.

The research shows that 51% of mums are in charge of booking holidays compared to a generation ago when 36% were responsible for family holidays.(i)

There are a number of ways to buy a holiday, however; going online to book has become the most common form of purchasing a holiday, as well as the purchasing of additional extras such as travel insurance. New research shows that 54% of travel insurance is now arranged on online.(ii)

Why do you need travel insurance?

Travel insurance is typically designed to protect your finances and covers a range of possibilities such as overseas medical bills, passport theft and cancelled flights.

Figures show that 53% of the country is planning a holiday before the end of the year, yet over half have no travel insurance whatsoever.

Worryingly, 13 million people are without travel insurance despite having a holiday planned in the coming months. Of those who do take out cover, a third of them travel without enough protection.

Kids and grandkids go free with Asda Money travel insurance. You can cover up to seven children without paying a penny more, allowing you to enjoy your holiday without the extra expense.
