VoiceBox Automotive Expands Global Product Reach

VoiceBox Technologies Corp., the award-winning innovator of Voice Personal Assistant applications built on its patented Conversational Voice technology, today announced that it has expanded its global automotive product reach. The Company has recently added four major car brands to its expanding automotive business: Chrysler, Dodge, Mazda and Maserati. Products will ship on cars in 10 major European languages and 3 Asian languages – Mandarin, Korean and Japanese.

“We are proud to welcome these great automotive brands to the VoiceBox global family,” said VoiceBox’s CEO, Mike Kennewick. Previous brands shipping VoiceBox globally include Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Fiat and Renault.

VoiceBox has been an early pioneer in the use of natural voice technologies in the car, having shipped advanced voice capabilities initially in the Lexus 2008 RX. The Company was at the forefront of the Connected Car trend, which allows users to access information located “in the cloud,” shipping on the award-winning Toyota Entune. Unlike other solutions, VoiceBox’s Intelligent Hybrid architecture doesn’t require users to know what information is on or off board, as do competitive solutions. So, unlike those solutions which ask the user to say, “Services…Traffic…Seattle,” VoiceBox allows them to simply say, “What’s the traffic in Seattle?”

The Company’s next product innovation, which it is showcasing at CES, integrates its Personal Assistant interface, which provides a personalized experience that goes beyond the current single-question-single-answer paradigm popularized by Siri. In contrast, VoiceBox products can provide a more interactive, proactive personal assistant experience.

“Together with our patented technology advantages and personalization capabilities, the automotive market is also leveraging our extensive foreign language, product localization expertise,” added Kennewick.
