Niklas Bjorkman wrote: Firstly I agree with your conclusion. NewSQL takes the best of the traditional databases and NoSQL databases to combine the benefits of both worlds. I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

International Conference for Sustainable Agriculture Attracting Scientists, Farmers and Advocates Worldwide

BILOXI, MS -- (Marketwire) -- 01/10/13 -- People are traveling from across the globe to participate in the International Conference for Sustainable Agriculture on February 20 & 21 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Possibly the largest sustainable conference in the Southeast, the ICSA brings under one roof the recognized leaders in the agricultural community, including scientists, agronomists, large-scale producers, authors, educators and advocates to share their research, knowledge and experiences in agriculture. Featuring SumaGrow, the award-winning technology sought after to replace or greatly reduce fertilizer inputs, the ICSA will set the stage for open dialogue regarding the many challenges facing the future of agricultural production and offer practical solutions for the producer.

"The ICSA highlights the latest research and technique advancements in increasing yields and crop quality in a sustainable way and provides a platform for this vital exchange of information among the agricultural community," said Wayne Wade, President of Bio Soil Enhancers, Inc., the manufacturer of the SumaGrow technology.

Seasoned farmers and agronomists will deliver roundtable discussions about the concerns of skyrocketing fertilizer costs, increased regulations on agricultural inputs, the loss of arable land to soil degradation and soil erosion, and the immediate concerns over water quality and protection. Guests will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of breakout sessions. These sessions will cover topics specific to row and forage crop producers, organic farming, lawn and recreational turf management, fruit and citrus production, and water protection and remediation.

Leading experts will deliver the latest results in sustainable research specific to the technology of SumaGrow. Over 100 crop trials in the US and internationally were conducted by universities, specialized testing facilities and independent producers on a wide variety of crops that included row crops, forages and hay, fruit and vegetable crops and specialty crops like coffee and tea. These trials measured crop quality and yield, fertilizer reduction or elimination, and water efficiency, among others, in diverse climates and soil conditions.

New research and development projects will be revealed including the conversion of coal refuse into a high quality soil amendment product containing SumaGrow. This project has worldwide implications as there are billions of tons of potentially usable coal refuse occupying huge tracts of land worldwide. SumaGrow's ability to promote the reclamation of land and waterways adversely affected by coal by-products, nitrate leaching and groundwater pollution will be explored.

The ICSA will highlight the technology of SumaGrow as a viable alternative to fertilizer that benefits the producer and consumer while protecting our limited natural resources. SumaGrow is a consortium of native microbes selected for their multifunctional and complementary abilities to increase crop production, raise the nutrient value in plants, and decrease fertilizer dependence. SumaGrow is organically based and contains no genetically modified organisms (GMO).

In the last few years, the technology of SumaGrow has garnered considerable media attention and attracted international interest because of its superior product performance and impressive yield results. SumaGrow has been featured in Popular Science, Barron's, Forbes.com, Bison World and Stockman Grass Farmer. Forage Boost, a SumaGrow product, was named a Grand Award Winner in Popular Science because of its abilities to increase crop yields and decrease fertilizer and other chemical inputs.

The ICSA is known for its diverse and multicultural audience which includes scientists, agronomists, farmers, advocates, farm suppliers, gardeners, and educators. Attendees have the unique opportunity to network and develop key partnerships with people from around the world.
