Two astounding collections of art will be coming together during the upcoming Vancouver Resource Investment Conference at the Vancouver Convention Centre January 20 & 21.

The collections, Ghiglieri and Chiurazzi, will be on display in a dedicated 3,000 square foot gallery at the conference. Guests are also invited to enjoy a glass of wine during a daily hosted bar from 2:00-6:00pm each day of the conference.

The Chiurazzi Collection:

The Chiurazzi Collection is the single most significant collection of artistic bronze sculpture ever to be assembled in the history of the world; in short, it is the national archive of Italian sculpture and artifacts. Works of art to be displayed at the show from this collection to include, but not limited to:

--  'Loacoon' by Michelangelo 
--  'Rape of Proserpina' by Bernini 
--  'Venus' and 'Mercury' by Giambologna 
--  'David' by Donatello 
--  'Torso Aphrodite' by Praxiteles 
--  Several other notable works excavated from Pompeii and Herculaneum

Chiurazzi castings are exact replicas of the original masterpieces as the Chiurazzi Foundry was selected by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Goods & Activities to take plaster moulds of the original artwork in the museums in 1890. The largest collections of Chiurazzi cast artwork in North America currently resides at the Getty Villa, and the John & Mable Ringling Museum.

The Ghiglieri Collection:

The Ghiglieri Collection is led by master artist Lorenzo Ghigleiri and also including remarkable works by Lorenzo's son Laran Ghiglieri, and daughter Rebecca Ghiglieri Clark.Displayed in the Vatican and the White House, Ghiglieri masterpieces have been collected by individuals such as former United States Presidents and Vice Presidents, Pope John Paul III, King Juan Carlos of Spain, and Queen Elizabeth II. Lorenzo is a master at capturing emotion and movement, specifically in that of North American and African wildlife. Laran, having apprenticed under his father and being a fifth generation artist, has learned from the best and has works that emulate his father's skill, yet his true brilliance can be seen in his figurative works.
