AltaGas Ltd. ("AltaGas") (TSX:ALA) (TSX:ALA.PR.A) (TSX:ALA.PR.U) today received the Supreme Court of Canada decision dismissing a third party leave to appeal application of the July 19, 2012 Alberta Court of Appeal decision. The Alberta Court of Appeal decision dismissed a third party appeal of the decision of the Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB) which approved the Harmattan Co-stream project on December 7, 2010.

The Harmattan Co-stream project commenced commercial operation in November 2012. The Co-stream Project will use 250 Mmcf/d of existing spare capacity to recover ethane and other NGLs from natural gas sources in the NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. (NGTL) Western System. The project is underpinned by a 20-year cost-of-service contract with NOVA Chemicals Corporation.
