Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

“Glenn is a results-oriented leader with a proven success rate in building high-performing teams and driving revenue growth,” said Larry Augustin, CEO of SugarCRM. “He brings a wealth of experience and strategic sales vision to our leadership team. His proven track record in this growing market will deliver value as our company continues to execute against its goals.”

Before joining SugarCRM, Cross was senior vice president for worldwide sales and services for Xsigo Systems, which was recently acquired by Oracle. Prior to Xsigo, Cross was senior vice president of global sales, services and support for Meru Networks, and was a key member of the executive team that took the company public in 2010.

Cross also served as executive vice president of worldwide sales for Secure Computing (acquired by McAfee), and executive vice president of worldwide sales for SurfControl (acquired by WebSense). Prior to Websense, Cross was senior vice president at Nuance Communications and Palm Inc., where he managed all sales, professional services, support, field marketing and field operations. He was also vice president of sales and business development at Sun Microsystems and led the joint venture between Sun and AOL. In his career, he has grown SaaS revenue in excess of 200 percent at three companies, and has consistently exceeded revenue, profit and margin goals.

“I’m very excited to join SugarCRM at this time in the company’s growth. SugarCRM is putting a strong focus on the customer experience by consolidating all key touch points with a common goal of serving our customers better,” Cross said. “I look forward to contributing my experience to the task of connecting with our customers at all levels.”

SugarCRM has also named new executives to its management team with a focus on sales and marketing. The new appointments are: Vincent Beese, senior vice president of enterprise sales; Lorna Heynike, senior vice president of marketing and products; and Anshu Agarwal, vice president of marketing.
