Niklas Bjorkman wrote: Firstly I agree with your conclusion. NewSQL takes the best of the traditional databases and NoSQL databases to combine the benefits of both worlds. I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

VO Financial - Unsuspecting Owners
"Timeshare is no different!" said Adam Lacerda, President & CEO of VO Financial Corporation

CAPE COD, Mass., Jan. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- For many timeshare owners, timeshare has evolved into a devilish quagmire comprised of complicated and yet deceptively intriguing terms and procedures that lead unsuspecting consumers deeper and deeper into a never-ending abyss of debt and regret.  The industry's largest developers have created a system which is extremely difficult for ordinary consumers to comprehend. Already uniquely mysterious within the travel industry, the timeshare confusion factor can be multiplied by the number of different developers who have created their own unique spin which accompanies their individual brand. Even if new owners were handed a glossary of terms and definitions at the time of their purchase, predictably many will not begin to understand what they have gotten themselves into until it is too late. Is this accidental? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Unfortunately, the ability to make wholesale changes and random amendments to existing memberships with little or no regulatory oversight provides timeshare developers with an endless supply of unsuspecting victims.

In our society we are trained at an early age to respect and trust those who are experts in their respective fields. What we are taught as children carries on through our lives and is passed down through the generations. Because we are a culture which relies so heavily on guidance from those considered to be in a position of authority, we often expose ourselves because of our vulnerability.  We unconditionally trust doctors, attorneys, repair technicians, and consultants to help us to make major decisions. As a result of our belief in their ability to guide us, our lives are directly impacted by direction from these individuals.

"Timeshare is no different!" said Adam Lacerda, President & CEO of VO Financial Corporation, a consulting firm with offices in five states that has assists timeshare owners in eliminating debt incurred as a result of timeshare developer's deceptive sales practices. "Knowing consumers are vulnerable, developers purposely change the mechanics and conditions of what they offer for the sole purpose of making more profit. Each time an owner is vacationing, they are invited to a meeting with an "expert" who tells them what they should do to make their lives better. The only difference between the timeshare "expert" and all of the other trusted advisors in our world is the "cure", the "fix", the "solution" is always to purchase more timeshare. Existing owner bases are duped by the transition from "weeks" to "points." They are exposed to terms like "special credits" or "rewards" and are bombarded with status symbols the likes of "gold," "platinum," "diamond," and even "presidential." The faces change but the same scams continue."

Unfortunately, our belief as a society in the goodness of humanity and child-like innocence provides for a never-ending supply of revenue for those who choose to take advantage of our trust in them.  Timeshare developers purposely train their executives and sales staff on countless ways in which to take advantage of their clients. They become "experts" only in deception as opposed to the way timeshare works. Until recently, the timeshare companies who prey upon the good nature of their owners have gone unchallenged. VO Financial reaches out and helps those who have been caught in the timeshare quicksand because of their developer's deceptive sales practices.

"We become the voice for the retired couple who were lied to for decades and are currently are paying more in high interest loans on timeshare than most pay for their home mortgage," said Lacerda.  "We represent the young couple just starting out who were told on their honeymoon that timeshare could bring a huge return on their investment and as a result are now unable to provide the necessities for their growing family. We stand up for the young and the old and all groups in-between.  Because of a trusting nature, anyone can be harmed by misrepresentation and false promises from timeshare developers."

VO Financial's mission is to provide protection to timeshare owners from unscrupulous predators who prey upon the lack of understanding of the good people they are entrusted to assist. VO Financial clients are those individuals whose only weakness was their belief that the "experts" were supposed to be the "good guys." VO Financial relies on knowledge, resources, a passion for helping people, but most importantly a resolve to help level the playing field for timeshare owners in the years to come. If you or someone you know purchased a timeshare as a result of a developer's deceptive sales practices, VO Financial is ready, willing, and able to rescue timeshare owners trapped in the abyss.  It is never too late.
