Niklas Bjorkman wrote: Firstly I agree with your conclusion. NewSQL takes the best of the traditional databases and NoSQL databases to combine the benefits of both worlds. I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

World Software Corporation Launches Worldox GX3 Cloud at LegalTech New York ‘13

Next week at LegalTech New York ’13, World Software Corporation® (www.worldox.com), launches Worldox GX3 Cloud, a cloud-based delivery of its award-winning document management system (DMS). This software-as-a-service contains the full functionality of Worldox GX3 Professional with a patent-pending delivery architecture that allows for anytime anywhere document access. GX3 Cloud supports all existing Worldox partner and application integrations.

Worldox GX3 Cloud allows firms and organizations to access and upload their documents remotely, allowing greater mobility and flexibility. Cloud data is hosted in secure, best-in-class SSAE 16 and ISAE 3402 compliant data centers, so Worldox customers can eliminate on-site servers and still use the proven Worldox technology.

Worldox GX3 Cloud Highlights Include:

  • Hosted on a secure private cloud that requires no server hardware to maintain or replace. Secure data centers are dispersed within the US and other countries will follow.
  • Backup, redundancy and disaster recovery available to users with 24/7 monitoring
  • New software upgrades included – new technology is pushed out to users as it becomes available
  • Built-in PDF editing suite with zero-download technology, allowing large PDFs to open incredibly fast
  • Consistent desktop interface regardless of location – at work, at home or on the road the Worldox user experience is consistent.

Attorney David J. Thompson was one of the Cloud product’s beta testers. Thompson says, “Worldox GX3 Cloud is an ideal document management system for me because my firm is small and I have no dedicated IT department. Whether working at my desk, visiting clients, or in a hotel room, I have complete access to all of my client documents at all times, and have no concerns about keeping the servers running or the software up to date, or backing up my data. Integrating with Microsoft Outlook and the Fujitsu ScanSnap s1500 scanner, Worldox GX3 Cloud is the perfect complement to a hosted Exchange solution and online research services for a small practice professional like me.”

President Ray Zwiefelhofer comments, “We are pleased to announce the launch of Worldox GX3 Cloud, which allows the full featured Worldox experience securely accessible online. Now Worldox clients including law firms and corporations can access and upload documents from any computer and enjoy all the features of the Worldox desktop application, without the onsite overhead. We are looking forward to meeting at LegalTech New York to show them the new technology.”

Worldox GX3 Cloud subscription pricing is $55 monthly/per user, which includes all options including on-premise document copy, email integration, automated matter number import, PDF editing suite and more.

Worldox GX3 Cloud will be demonstrated at LegalTech New York at booth #328-330 from Tues., Jan. 29 – Thurs, Jan. 31 at the Hilton New York Hotel.
