Genius Inside will demonstrate enhancements to Genius Project that combines the latest in social collaboration functionality delivered via its Genius Live! platform and complete portfolio and project management capabilities offered in both SaaS (software as a service) and on-premise deployment options built on IBM middleware. Using a cloud computing architecture, Genius Project extends your Lotus Notes and Domino platform to anyone with a Web browser.
Moreover, Genius Project Version 7.0 is focused on user adoption with improved navigation, collaboration and reporting features. Among the complete enterprise portfolio and project capabilities, customers are experiencing improved portfolio features, enhanced resource planning tools, social media collaboration and highly configurable reporting functionality.

The latest upgrades in Version 7.0 also include:
- Soft booking functionality allowing organizations to pre-book resources prior to project execution allowing for improved accuracy on resource loading estimates versus planned for both project requests and approved projects.
- New rates management capabilities for service organization in order to better support professional services automation (PSA) requirements by extending the already powerful rates management system to include varying rate sheets by company and by customer.
- Unlimited portfolio level hierarchy capabilities supporting the organizational breakdown structure (OBS) of global organizations allowing them to easily map Genius Project to their complex organizational structure and align portfolios accordingly. This new functionality will provide the necessary access rights to relevant project stakeholders improving the management of budgets, resources and portfolios across multiple regions and domains.
- Agile SCRUM functionality for application development teams seeking Agile and Scrum-specific tools and views that tie into an organization's project management processes.
