ScienceLogic Names Former Cisco Director as Senior Vice President of Engineering
David Hinnant Appointed to Drive Product Innovation for Smart IT Software

RESTON, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/28/13 -- ScienceLogic™ Inc., a provider of IT operations and cloud management solutions, today announced the hiring of David Hinnant as senior vice president of engineering. Hinnant will lead ScienceLogic's software development and software quality assurance teams to ensure its award-winning Smart IT™ software delivers maximum value to customers in the service provider, enterprise, and federal space.

"David's industry expertise and proven track record of success in product management, software development and quality assurance make him a perfect addition to the ScienceLogic executive team," said John Becker, CEO. Most recently, Hinnant served as director of quality, technical operations, and incubation at Cisco. He managed the development, testing, and support of platforms and tools for Cisco Services "Smart Services," a portfolio of products geared toward enterprise and service provider customers. An accomplished and passionate technology industry veteran, he also served as co-chair for the Engineering Transformation Working Group and the Innovation and Research Working Group -- both sponsored by the Services Technology Board at Cisco Services.

"I have a long standing relationship with ScienceLogic as a customer when I was a director at Cisco," said Hinnant. Prior to Cisco, Hinnant was the vice president of engineering at Triumfant, Inc. where he was responsible for software engineering and customer service for IT desktop and server problem remediation products. Throughout his career, he has held leadership, product development and networking roles within various IT industry segments. Hinnant holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from East Carolina University. He will be based out of the ScienceLogic headquarters in Reston, Va.
