Fujitsu Frontech North America, Inc., Installs First Bill Dispensing Units with Parking International in Colombia

Fujitsu Frontech North America, Inc., a leader in innovative technology and front-end solutions and Hanco Technologies, Fujitsu’s authorized reseller in Colombia, today announced that they integrated the Fujitsu F53 bill dispensing unit in a parking kiosk deployed by Parking International of Bogotá, Colombia. This is the first Fujitsu currency handling deployment in the country of Colombia by Parking International. The parking kiosk, located at the Hilton Bogotá parking structure, replaces what was previously a staffed position. It will be the first of several parking kiosk deployments for Parking International in Colombia. As part of its Latin America strategy, Fujitsu conducted extensive F53 testing and successfully completed certification of numerous Latin American currencies including the Colombian Peso.

“We are excited that Parking International has chosen the F53 bill dispenser for installation in their parking kiosk,” according to Randy Fox, senior director, Currency Handling and Identity Product Solutions, Fujitsu Frontech North America, Inc. “We are very excited to have our first of what we are confident will be thousands of currency handling installations through our Bogotá Colombian-based business partner, Hanco Technologies.”

“We are very pleased to be working with Hanco Technologies and Fujitsu Frontech on such an important project,” according to Juan Francisco Dueñas, Project Manager, Parking International. “We look forward to growing our relationships as we continue to install new parking kiosks throughout Colombia.”

Fujitsu’s family of OEM currency handling products have the quality, reliability, and advanced feature functionality required to offer true value-add and control the up-front design and recurring product support / maintenance cost. Fujitsu offers OEM currency dispensers like the F50, F53, F56, F400, F510, bulk currency acceptors and currency recyclers like the G610/611 and G60, and bulk note acceptors like the newly announced G651, for a wide range of customer needs and configuration requirements.

Fujitsu has certified over 50 of the most popular currencies worldwide and has certified the most popular currencies in Latin America. Thanks to industry-leading bill validation technology on their bill recycling units, including the G60, Fujitsu is able to support multiple denominations from multiple countries on the same unit. “As new business partners in smaller geographies are added in Latin America, we will continue to certify currencies to support our growth strategy and the applications strategies of our local partners,” according to Fox.
