Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

Assets In Order Introduces Legacy Lockbox, a Secure Online Storage Service With End-of-Life Management Capabilities
New Service Preserves Digital Assets and Personal Information Online in a Single, Secure Place and Allows Members to Prepare for Their Passing by Designating Future Recipients

HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 01/30/13 -- When tragedy strikes and a family member suddenly passes away, loved ones are left to try and piece together that person's assets and final wishes while coping with their own shock, heartache and sense of loss. To protect families from going through such heartache, a Texas-based company, Assets In Order, now offers an easy-to-use, affordable online solution called Legacy Lockbox that enables individuals to plan ahead.

Legacy Lockbox allows members to store, organize and update a wide range of personal information and documentation in a single, secure place for future access by loved ones. The online service is protected by 256-bit encryption, equal to security levels used by banks and major financial institutions. What makes Legacy Lockbox unique as compared with other online storage services is its end-of-life management capabilities. Members select what individuals will receive specific digital contents from their Legacy Lockbox, should their passing occur. Members also designate two verifiers who notify Legacy Lockbox upon the member's passing and submit the official documentation required to release asset information to the assigned recipients.

Legacy Lockbox offers a Heritage membership, which includes 1GB of storage capacity and accommodates a wide range of file types, including audio and video, for $19.95 per year. An additional storage upgrade is available for a nominal fee. Stored files can range from wills, powers of attorney, life insurance documents and financial accounts to social media passwords, photos, pet directives, favorite family recipes and even personal messages. Legacy Lockbox users decide what the contents will be and who receives each item.

Legacy Lockbox was created by successful entrepreneur, David Harris, after he and a friend each experienced the unexpected loss of a family member and were unable to find important documents such as burial plans, life insurance policies and financial documents. "The struggle of searching for documents during a time of heartache brings on so much additional stress," said Harris. "I realized that there needed to be a simple, easy and affordable way for a person to get their assets in order, offering a peace of mind for loved ones. I decided that a service was needed to keep others from going through the personal hardship that so many of us have experienced."

Since its introduction, individuals have purchased Legacy Lockbox and forward-thinking companies in industries such as healthcare, real estate and technology have provided it for their employees and clients as a benefit, Harris added.
