Niklas Bjorkman wrote: Firstly I agree with your conclusion. NewSQL takes the best of the traditional databases and NoSQL databases to combine the benefits of both worlds. I do not agree that NewSQL vendors focus on giving scale-out features to transactional data. The NewSQL market is focusing on giving true ACID support combined with extreme performance, stepping away from the traditional relational structures in databases. A lot of developers appreciate the ease of accessing data using SQL and I think we will see more and more databases supporting standard SQL. As you said - NewSQL databases often maintain the...

Get City Dealz Helps Jazzy Nola Reach New Orleans Visitors in Time for the Big Game and Mardi Gras Celebrations

Get City Dealz, the recently launched, exclusive to New Orleans, deals site teamed up with the newly opened French Quarter boutique, Jazzy Nola, to help them both reach out to both tourists and visitors just in time for both the Big Game and upcoming Mardi Gras celebrations. The teaming up of two new businesses met with great results as utilizing Get City Dealz helped Jazzy Nola sell out of their first order of wine tumblers and are on their way to selling out of their second order.

“Utilizing Get City Dealz helped us with creating awareness of not only our products, but also that we were a new boutique that just opened in the French Quarter,” explained Carrie Lis, co-owner of Jazzy Nola on Toulouse Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans, LA.

Lis had some unique wine tumblers made in a distinctly New Orleans style with a gold fleur de lis imprinted on the tumbler. Great for both wandering the French Quarter during the Super Bowl or on the Mardi Gras parade route, Lis knew these would be a hit among both tourists and locals. However, having just recently opened their doors, Jazzy Nola had a limited reach. That’s where Get City Dealz stepped in.

Once the wine tumblers hit the Get City Dealz website sales on the wine tumblers took off, a lot faster than Lis had anticipated. With that success in hand she started to place more items on the deal advertising platform and saw a rise in foot traffic to her site. The number of shares and likes to her own Facebook fan page started to rise as well and people from outside of the New Orleans area called in to order her wine tumblers.

“We designed Get City Dealz to be both search engine and social media friendly platform so that local businesses could have one place to come in and promote their products and services across several different networking platforms,” explained Liana “Li” Evans, CTO of Get City Dealz. “We immediately recognized the power of people sharing things they like, and the people of New Orleans really love to share a good thing with their friends, family members and neighbors. GetCityDealz.com helps them to do that easily.”

Next up for Lis to promote on Get City Dealz are their Roger Goodell voodoo dolls. Fashioned with “G-O-O-D-E-L-L” beads and a heart that has a black pin and fleur de lis through it, these voodoo dolls which are hand made by Lis’ mother and business partner Laura Blackburn, are also a huge hit with the local New Orleans crowd. When the store first opened they sold out of their first supply in a matter of days and they expect a big rush on these as well once the deal hits the social networks.

“This has been a really big boon for us, working with a new tech company like Get City Dealz who understands the budget and time constraints of a small business and we’re so glad they helped us get off the ground with our marketing efforts. This has truly been an awareness driver for Jazzy Nola.” Lis commented about new technology company.

A video is available to learn more about what Jazzy Nola has and how Get City Dealz did help build awareness on YouTube. For more information about Get City Dealz you can call Pat Hall, CEO, at 917-509-2152.
