Barona Offers Players a Chance to Win Share of $750,000 in Free Slot Tournament Series

SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/05/13 -- Those hoping to claim a piece of $750,000 should head to Barona Resort & Casino for its 2013 free Slot Tournament Series, scheduled for every Tuesday in February, April and June. Club Barona members can compete in the tournament once a week to win a share of $50,000 in weekly prizes with a total payout of $750,000 for the series.

"We hope the Slot Tournament Series will give Club Barona members something to look forward to each Tuesday," said Rick Salinas, general manager of Barona Resort & Casino. "It will be a great opportunity for Club Members to play for free and have a chance at winning thousands of dollars."

Individual tournaments will be held February 5, 12, 19, 26; April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; and June 4, 11, 18, 25 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Participants will be given a 3 minute round on one of 32 Multimedia Games TournEvent slot machines and players with the top 100 scores will win a cash prize.

In addition to cash prizes won based on weekly tournament placement, each month 100 participants will advance to play in Barona's $100,000 Tournament of Champions in August. The top 25 scorers each week will automatically proceed and 75 additional participants will be selected by the Host Department for participation in the champion's tournament.
