Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

VMTurbo Named to Forbes America’s Most Promising Companies List

VMTurbo, the leading provider of intelligent workload management software for cloud and virtualized environments, today announced that it has been named to Forbes’ annual list of America’s Most Promising Companies. VMTurbo received the No. 89 ranking out of 100 privately held, high-growth companies.

VMTurbo was founded on the belief that IT operations management needs to be fundamentally changed to allow companies to unlock the full value in virtualized infrastructure and cloud services. To do so, VMTurbo provides an intelligent control system that automates the complex decision-making required in these virtual environments in software. The technology uses prescriptive analytics to address resource contention before problems occur – driving improved utilization rates while ensuring virtualized applications perform as the business requires. By making and automating specific actions that maintain health with a comprehensive understanding of the entire IT environment, VMTurbo provides the only closed-loop control system that spans across any hypervisor or cloud platform.

Over the span of six months, Forbes reviewed thousands of applications before narrowing down the candidates, and ultimately selecting the rankings. Forbes looked at the customers in terms of growth (both in sales and hiring), quality of management team and investors, margins, market size and key partnerships. To refine the search, Forbes selected CB Insights, a Manhattan-based data research firm that specializes in assessing private companies, to measure the candidates’ health by scanning 45,000 sources with its Mosaic software. Mosaic then compiled the myriad signals into a final score, which Forbes used as an initial guide in producing the list.

“We are honored to be named to this list by such an acclaimed publication,” said N. Louis Shipley, chief executive officer of VMTurbo. “Being recognized by Forbes for our achievements further validates the work and effort of our team here at VMTurbo. We are confident that our unique approach to improving IT operations will continue to help our rapidly expanding customer base better control their IT infrastructure and drive down the operational and capital costs associated with running their virtualized environments.”
