Small Businesses Look to The Interface Financial Group for Spot Factoring
NSBA's 2012 Economic Report Indicates One in Four Small Businesses Lack Necessary Capital

BETHESDA, MD -- (Marketwire) -- 02/08/13 -- According to The Interface Financial Group (IFG), North America's largest alternative funding source for small to medium-sized enterprises, U.S. small businesses are less optimistic than last year about the overall economy. The news is a result of the February 6 release of the 2012 Year-End Economic Report from the National Small Business Association (NSBA).

The report shows that there were modest gains in those small businesses that foresaw U.S. economic expansion, but the majority, 86 percent, continue to believe the U.S. economy will be recessionary or flat during 2013, many projecting no growth in their own businesses. These small business owners see economic uncertainty as their number one challenge and all of them want Congress to reduce the national deficit.

Additionally, 38 percent anticipate their firms will grow in the coming year -- the lowest this indicator has been since December 2009. The number of small-businesses projecting employment size decreases in 2013 rose from 12 to 16 percent.

Although lending shows 73 percent of small businesses reporting the ability to garner adequate financing, one in four small businesses lacks necessary capital.

"We have seen this lack of confidence among new invoice factoring clients who finally realize that traditional bank loans are difficult to get these days," said IFG Chairman and Chief Executive Officer George Shapiro. "Our spot factoring services, however, offer business owners an excellent alternative to traditional financing."

IFG's spot factoring provides alternative funding required by a small business to sustain growth during this slower recovery, so they can continue making payroll, purchasing supplies and services, and in some cases, hiring additional staff for sustained business growth.

Unlike a loan spot factoring is the purchase of one single invoice. For example, when using spot factoring for funds, a construction firm can realize a fast turnaround on a single invoice due for the completed stages of a construction project -- even within 24 hours. Spot factoring requires no co-signers or fees upfront. IFG has no minimum sales volume requirements, and professional fees are competitive.

IFG does not expect to buy 100 percent of a company's receivables and professional rates are competitive. The program allows choices of invoices to be factored, enabling customers to retain most of their money, to spend the minimum fees, plus guarantee adequate cash flow.

IFG's financing solutions also include: Export Factoring, providing services for companies who export from the United States and Canada; Construction Factoring for contractors; Purchase Order Financing; and Inventory Financing, a solution promoting a company's growth by funding them when they must expand and purchase inventory.
