TEMECULA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 09/08/06 -- Channell Commercial Corporation (NASDAQ: CHNL), a designer and manufacturer of telecommunications equipment supplied to operators of communications networks worldwide and water storage tanks distributed in markets throughout Australia, today announced that Patrick E. McCready has been appointed Chief Financial Officer succeeding Jim Duvall who was serving as interim Chief Financial Officer. Starting on September 11, 2006, Mr. McCready will oversee all finance, accounting and information technology functions for the Company's various global reporting segments.

McCready joins Channell Commercial Corp. from Technitrol where he spent 15 years in the finance organization of its largest operating segment Pulse Engineering, Inc., a manufacturer of magnetic components, and last served as Vice President of Finance. During his 11 year tenure as Vice President of Finance for Pulse Engineering, Inc., he was responsible for financial reporting and planning, cost accounting and compliance while supervising an extensive worldwide finance staff. Mr. McCready began his professional career with Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Mr. McCready, 48, has a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and is a CPA.
