Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

Eclipse in Japan: Hitachi, Ltd. Chooses MyEclipse as a Premier Partner
"This is a very exciting time for Eclipse development in Japan "

'This is a very exciting time for Eclipse development in Japan and around the world, and we feel that our partnership will further bolster the rapid growth and adoption of comprehensive Eclipse development tools at a very low cost,' said Maher Masri, president of Genuitec, as it was announced that Genuitec's MyEclipse will expand its customer base into the Japanese application server sector as Hitachi, Ltd. has chosen MyEclipse as a premier partner.

"We are completely dedicated to our partnership with Hitachi, a legendary company regarded highly around the world for delivering cutting edge software products and services,” Masri added.

Genuitec’s MyEclipse will be bundled and shipped with Hitachi’s uCosminexus J2EE-compliant application server to provide an extremely rich, multi-lingual application development tool and at an extremely low cost -- typically thousands of dollars below development tools from competing product vendors in the IDE market, Masri noted.

Distribution is currently slated to begin in late December.

With the Hitachi partnership, MyEclipse 5.0 Enterprise Workbench will be a multi-lingual product that is compatible with the Eclipse 3.2 and Callisto product offerings, allowing developers to make use of these popular new projects without interoperability or language concerns.

MyEclipse 5.0 Enterprise Workbench is available immediately in English to users worldwide. The Standard Edition annual subscription is priced at $29.95 USD and the Professional Edition annual subscription is priced at $49.95 USD.

All subscriptions include unlimited access to Genuitec’s direct-response online support.
