Tesora Announces it is the first and only OpenStack Trove Project Implementation Certified by Mirantis
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Tesora announces it is the first and only OpenStack Trove project implementation certified by Mirantis, ensuring that the company's OpenStack Trove-based Database as a Service (DBaaS) Platform works with the Mirantis OpenStack distribution.
In addition, Tesora adds the popular enterprise distribution from Mirantis to the Tesora OpenStack Database Certification Program ensuring compatibility with both NoSQL and SQL database management systems on Trove and eliminating the headache of enterprises having to test integration on their own.
"We're providing Mirantis customers with the most production-ready OpenStack Trove implementation, saving the work and time necessary to ensure compatibility," said Ken Rugg, CEO of Tesora. "Working with Mirantis, we are realizing the potential of different technologies coming together as part of the OpenStack ecosystem, and giving enterprises the most complete and reliable OpenStack Trove available today."
"We are seeing great interest in OpenStack as an enterprise private cloud platform, and database as a service with Trove is important to the project," said Boris Renski, chief marketing officer at Mirantis. "Our partnership with Tesora gives our customers greater confidence when provisioning and managing a wide range of enterprise databases in their OpenStack clouds."
Tesora certification and support includes the following databases: MongoDB, MySQL Community Edition, Percona Server, MariaDB, Redis and Cassandra. In addition to Mirantis OpenStack, Tesora certifies with Red Hat and Ubuntu. This ensures that the Trove-based Tesora DBaaS Platform installs, configures and operates properly with popular OpenStack distributions.
Mirantis is venture-backed by Insight Venture Partners, August Capital, Ericsson, Red Hat, Intel Capital, Sapphire Ventures and WestSummit Capital, with headquarters in Mountain View, California. For more information, visit www.mirantis.com or follow us on Twitter at @mirantisit.
