The rack-mounted device is built around the quad-core 5300 Xeon and can be configured for NAS, SAN and - given the chips - as an application server. It offers a choice of one or two dual-core chips and either SCSI or SATA drives or mixed complements of Wasabi software. Microsoft, OpenSUSE and Red Hat are supporting it and there's 10 gigEthernet, Fibre Channel and Infiniband options.
