Epicentric and Pramati Partners in J2EE-Powered Enterprise Portals
Epicentric and Pramati Partners in J2EE-Powered Enterprise Portals

Pramati Technologies, a breakthrough developer of J2EE application server technology, and Epicentric, Inc., a leading provider of business portal solutions, have formed a strategic technology and marketing alliance to provide Pramati Server as a tested J2EE application server engine for the cross-platform portal solution Epicentric Foundation Server.

Under the agreement, Epicentric becomes a Pramati Tier 1 Strategic Partner, enabling Epicentric to resell Pramati Server to enterprise customers. Pramati will be actively promoted as an Epicentric Strategic Alliance Partner, with Pramati Server branded as a supported and strategic platform for Epicentric Foundation Server. Together, the partners will help customers implement enterprise portals featuring the strength and flexibility of J2EE technologies at a remarkably low cost, an important benefit for organizations of all sizes who use the Web for complex business initiatives, but also face increasing economic pressures.

The deal creates yet another massive channel for Pramati: Epicentric has 250 customers and serves the number one and two Fortune-ranked companies across many industries, including securities, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals. Pramati has already signed more than 40 partnerships with leading business computing firms in the U.S. and 100 around the world since the beginning of the year, demonstrating impressive momentum. Much of the interest can be attributed to Pramati's setting of new benchmarks for price and performance in J2EE application servers. Pramati's Server 3.0 was the first application server to be certified as fully compliant with Sun Microsystems' J2EE 1.3 standard.
