WSO2's Asanka Perera will also participate at the "SOA World Power Panel" on SYS-CON.TV during the show. SOA Power Panel: Service-Oriented Architecture is an old concept, with new technologies and strategies that take it out of the realm of technology and move it into the world of business processes. SOA is not free - it has costs and risks associated with it, but also provides great benefit when successfully deployed. Our SOA Power Panel will discuss measuring ROI, implementation strategies, security concerns, SOA Governance, and other key issues that determine the success or failure of an SOA implementation.
Asankha joined WSO2 in April 2006 as a software architect and leads the WSO2 ESB and Apache Synapse projects. He is an Apache Web services PMC member and a committer, and also contributes to the Apache Axis2 project. He has over 6 years of previous experience as an architect and technical lead for many projects for US and European markets. Asankha has a first class honors degree from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and a Masters in computer science from the National University of Singapore in affiliation with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
