My Busy Days Launches New Site for Moms with Kids Ages 0-5
My Busy Days Launches New Site for Moms with Kids Ages 0-5

IRVINE, Calif., July 18 /PRNewswire/ -- My Busy Days (MBD), the comprehensive "get out of the house!" guide for moms with kids ages 0-5, announced the launch of http://www.mybusydays.com/, a website rich with activities, places to go and things to do in Orange County.

My Busy Days started as a personal resource for stay at home mom, Karen, to keep track of activities to do with her 2.5 year old son and 12 month old daughter. She began building an outside calendar logging all of the local Storytimes, Arts & Crafts, Music events, etc... Her friends quickly discovered this wealth of information and were begging her to make it public. The calendar now has a daily, weekly and monthly view of activities in 9 different categories (Summer Concerts, Open Play, Costume Characters and more) and can be seen in the Events Calendar section.

As Karen's son approached preschool age, she realized she was spending a great deal of time at the park discussing preschools with other moms. Likewise as summer drew near, almost all play date talk was on swimming lessons! MBD immediately recognized the need to record these valuable opinions and share them with moms who weren't lucky enough to be at that park on that day. "My Busy Days strives to capture and record the priceless information moms share at play dates," said Karen Buelter, My Busy Days founder. Orange County Preschools and Swim Schools are listed by city with reviews by local moms much like the organic customer reviews on top sites such as Amazon and Travelocity.

Scott Buelter, Karen's husband whom she met at the UC Irvine Paul Merage School of Business, quickly stepped in to build the technology using Open Source software. The co-preneurs have started several businesses and have drawn on their experience to efficiently bring MBD to market.
