(July 10, 2002) - eXcelon Corporation has announced that its XML products integrate with BEA WebLogic Platform 7.0TM to provide customers with a comprehensive solution for implementing Web services applications based on XML business documents. BEA recently announced the general availability of BEA WebLogic Platform 7.0, the industry's first unified application infrastructure platform. Designed to provide customers with a single architecture for the development, integration, and customization of enterprise software, BEA WebLogic Platform 7.0 unites and integrates the market-leading application server, an award-winning portal framework, a comprehensive integration services broker, and an integrated Java development framework. eXcelon's eXtensible Information Server (XIS) integrates with BEA WebLogic WorkShop 7.0 to further reduce development time by eliminating the need to create different methods for each incoming XML format. XIS is a native XML database that provides node-level management of XML documents to allow WebLogic Workshop customers to make changes to XML documents and deploy them in real-time without having to take the application off-line. XIS complements the BEA WebLogic Platform 7.0 architecture by enabling customers to manage large collections of XML documents without compromising the inherent flexibility of XML. By managing XML business documents in memory at the node level, XIS enables XML documents to be dynamically extended throughout the life of a long-running asynchronous business transaction. In addition, node-level management ensures the speed and throughput necessary to support the performance requirements of today's mission critical applications. Reader Feedback: Page 1 of 1
