Wireless News Desk A Logical Leap for "M-Convergees"
A Logical Leap for "M-Convergees"
Jan. 1, 2000 12:00 AM
(December 19, 2001) - One of the world's leading wireless associations, the Personal Communications Industry Association (PCIA), is this week forging an important new strategic alliance aimed at bringing further value to their members, who include a broad base of interdependent players in what the association calls "m-convergence." With roots in the wireless communications industry, the PCIA is dedicated to advancing seamless global communications through their technical, regulatory, and marketing programs. So it's a logical extension for the association to team up now with LogicNode, a Washington, DC-based company that provides research on demand and business advisory services focused on the wireless and telecommunications industry; and to offer with them a new market research and business advisory service direct to PCIA members. Between them, the PCIA and LogicNode should be able to offer global reach and provide the mobile convergence community quick and easy access to much-needed industry research and mission-critical information. Customized, rapid-turnaround research and advisory services will be available - both to PCIA members and to nonmembers - on issues that focus on telecommunications, wireless, handheld computing, and emerging 3G technologies. "PCIA is committed to ensuring that our m-convergence community has access to the critical information they need, when they need it to make smart, strategic business decisions," Jay Kitchen, PCIA president and CEO, told WBT. "And in today's economy, a service like LogicNode that provides targeted market research and information on demand is now more important than ever." "People at all levels of management often don't have the time or tools available to uncover the information they need to make sound decisions, nor do they have a research department at their disposal," added Christopher D. Stammer, founder of LogicNode. Reader Feedback: Page 1 of 1
