'This is great news as it means yet another excellent Flex resource,' blogged Rich Tretola on his 'Everything Flex' blog in response to the announcement by SYS-CON Media last week of the launch of Flex Developer's Journal as an online technical publication for developers that are using or considering Adobe Flex.

Tretola was not alone. The launch of the new resource was quickly noted too by Debabrata Acharjee and Peter deHaan, among many others in the blogosphere.

"While in the past SYS-CON Media was publishing Flex-related articles here and there," wrote Flex Developer's Journal editor-in-chief Yakov Fain,  "now we’ve got the critical mass of interest required to have an independent publication covering this solid platform for creating Rich Internet Applications (a.k.a. RIA)." 

Fain continued:

"Having spent almost two years studying, working, teaching and writing about Adobe Flex, I’ve got to know many talented developers who are passionate about this emerging technology. I’m constantly browsing Flex blogosphere trying to find people who are not only technical gurus, but who also can and want to share their knowledge with their peers."

At AJAXWorld Conference  Expo 2007 West, Adobe's Kevin Hoyt will be giving a session. Passionate about engaging user experiences, Hoyt is a Platform Evangelist for Adobe, meaning that he meets with customers, speaks at conferences, and presents online seminars. He also enjoys the chance to exchange ideas with other developers.

Hoyt will be talking about "AJAX in a Desktop World," and will demonstrate how to extend rich Internet application (RIA) development outside of the browser using AJAX with Adobe AIR.
