Francois Depayras to Present Connecting Legacy Apps to SOA Session at SOA World Conference & Expo
Enable both new and legacy applications to interoperate in an SOA environment
Oct. 23, 2007 11:00 AM
For enterprises looking to create mission-critical
applications, the benefits of transitioning to an SOA environment are many.
However, the number of legacy applications and systems with proprietary
protocols that do not support a Web services interface, and therefore cannot
connect directly to an SOA-based system, can make this transition extremely
difficult. Given the ability to create a Web Services interface for these
applications so that they can be managed as a service, enterprises could
realize these benefits and make a transition to SOA. This session will examine
current tools and technologies for enterprises and allow them to enable both
new and legacy applications to interoperate in an SOA environment.
