The Future is MX: Macromedia Profits Rise in Q4

Macromedia, Inc. proved yesterday that there's money to be made enabling business users, developers, and designers to create and deliver experiences on the Internet, fixed media, wireless and digital devices.

With its three families of products - Macromedia MX Products, Information Convenience Products, and Mobile and Device Products - the San Francisco based company posted Q4 results that were "above expectations" according to CFO Betsey Nelson.

For the March quarter Macromedia posted net revenues of $102M, an 18% operating profit margin - a good solid result that shows what Nelson called "the leverage in our operating model." For the overall fiscal year, net revenues were $370M, a 10% growth over the prior year, with 15% operating profit margin.
