Nexaweb yesterday added three new partners: Edgewater Technologies, eFoundry and Inkriti. The new partners join just weeks after Nexaweb's program was launched at Web Services Edge last month. The Port Partner Program is aimed at easing the migration of client/server applications to the Web. Partners will be able to deliver more complete solutions, helping enterprise and ISV customers convert their client/server apps to next-generation Web solutions. "The immediate addition of Edgewater Technology, eFoundry and Inkriti to our strategic partner lineup demonstrates the traction of our new Port Partner Program," said Larry Geisel, CEO of Nexaweb. "We look forward to working with our partners to ease the pain of migrating mission critical enterprise applications to the Web. By making Internet application development as seamless as possible, we can help free up our partners to focus on other business-advancing activities." Nexaweb, provider of the leading software platform for building and deploying highly scalable, fully featured Internet applications, has created three engagement levels for customers. The entry level Portsm service creates a Web-version of an existing application. The existing application may be a traditional client/server application, a Swing application or a first-generation Web application. The second-tier program, Port includes customizations designed to add functionality. Finally, Port adds additional services and infrastructure components, helping customers deliver their new application in a Software-as-a-Service model. "Running enterprise-level applications on the Internet poses some unique challenges, but also offers tremendous business benefits," said David Gallo, chief operating officer for Edgewater Technology. "Nexaweb's standards-based platform, combined with our consulting and IT integration expertise, will offer our customers strategic advantage by overcoming the inherent obstacles associated with developing and deploying Internet applications." "We're seeing an increasing market need to efficiently and cost-effectively bring existing client/server applications to the Web," said Steven Doherty, president of eFoundry. "We evaluated several technology solutions, and Nexaweb was hands-down the best company to help us extend our service offerings in this area." Reader Feedback: Page 1 of 1
