LEXINGTON, Ky., March 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lexmark International, Inc. today introduced a new line of inkjet printers and all-in-one devices geared toward the home and student user. The line includes two new wireless products and the world's only all-in-one with a front laptop port for quick and easy printing access.

In 2007, according to market research firm IDC, U.S. sales of laptop computers outpaced sales of desktop units(1), illustrating the increasing popularity of mobile computing. IDC also reports that interest in wireless computing continues to rise, as there are more than 29 million wireless home networks in the United States(2).

To serve the growing number of mobile laptop users, Lexmark's new line makes wireless printing easier and more affordable. For those who need quick and easy printing from their laptop, but do not have wireless capabilities, Lexmark also offers an all-in-one inkjet printer with a unique quick-connect front laptop port.

"Lexmark is focused on removing customer 'pain points' with robust products that deliver a great printing experience for every customer," said Paul A. Rooke, Lexmark executive vice president and president of its Consumer Printer Division. "Our new Home and Student line offers freedom of mobility on printers that are very easy to use. In addition, they include industry-leading lifetime phone support, and we have wrapped them up in a sleek new product design."

Other new features that make printing mobility easier than ever include: -- Fast and easy installation in as little as 10 minutes. -- A new, intuitive operation panel design. -- Web Toolbar printing aids for easy Internet printing.

Lexmark's exclusive Protection Guarantee(3) with next-business-day replacement for up to 90 days after purchase, one year warranty and lifetime phone support is included with the new products.

The new Home and Student line features three inkjet printers: the Lexmark Z2420 Wireless printer priced at $79.99; the Lexmark X3650 All-in-One priced at $79.99; and the Lexmark X4650 Wireless All-in-One for $129.99(4).

The Lexmark X4650 Wireless All-in-One offers: -- Built-in 802.11b/g wireless printing, compatible with 802.11n(5). -- Fast and easy install in as little as 10 minutes. -- Easy, one-touch copying. -- Lab-quality photo prints direct from memory card slots, PictBridge(TM) or USB flash-drive. -- Print speeds of up to 25 ppm black and 18 ppm color(6).

Also announced today are two additional inkjet printers to meet basic home printing needs: the Lexmark Z2300 Inkjet priced at $34.99 and the Lexmark X2600 All-in-One priced at $59.99(4).
