Sun Microsystems has announced that they are going to use
the iPhone’s SDK to develop a version of JAVA for this new platform.
With this Java would come to both Apple iPhone and Apple
iPod Touch.
This is great news for the device as it would enable the
users of these two devices to access hundreds of Java applications available
online.
The company said that as per their estimates there are more
than 10,000 Java developers coding for mobile devices worldwide.
Eric Klein, vice president of Java marketing added: “With
more than 4 million iPhones already sold, there is a large market that
developers are anxious to access.”
