Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

STONEWARE, INC. Announces the Integration of SalesForce.com's CRM Hosted Applications in webOS - Virtualized Web Desktop(TM)

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/28/08 -- Stoneware, Inc. today announced the integration of SalesForce.com's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) hosted applications into their virtual web desktop, webOS. Enterprises using Stoneware's webOS to provide employees with access to both Windows and web applications can now deliver hosted SalesForce.com applications within the same virtual web desktop.

Stoneware, Inc.'s decision to leverage SalesForce.com's delegated authentication method will allow organizations improved access to their "on demand" customer relationship management applications. Stoneware webOS can enhance SalesForce.com hosted applications by providing two-factor authentication, single sign-on, and directory service integration with Microsoft's Active Directory, Novell's eDirectory, and OpenLDAP.

"We believe the virtual desktop integration of hosted applications by Software as a Service (SaaS) providers like SalesForce.com are critical to the success every organization," says Ken Quinton, SVP of Sales for Stoneware, Inc. "For a rapidly growing number of organizations, SalesForce.com hosts the most mission critical applications in their business. The most important application in a business should not be isolated because it is hosted online, instead, it should be integrated into a virtual web desktop environment with the rest of an organization's web and Windows applications."

Stoneware webOS is the next evolution in virtual web desktop computing. To learn more about Stoneware's webOS and its integrated features, please visit www.stone-ware.com or contact us at 888.473.9485.
