Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

Migrate to Eclipse 3.4 Ganymede, Manage Configurations with Pulse
Provides A Free Mirror Optimization and Configuration Management Tool for Eclipse 3.3 and 3.4 Releases

Genuitec announced the general availability of Pulse 2.2, a way to obtain, manage and configure Eclipse Ganymede and plugins.

Genuitec is pleased to offer this product to Pulse users on the day of the Ganymede release. As of today, Pulse 2.2 will support full Ganymede tool stacks.

“We have always prided ourselves on being the quickest in the industry to deliver our products in sync with the latest Eclipse platform release,” said Tim Webb, product manger for Pulse. “We have been utilizing 3.4 technology for months in the Pulse product, and it's exciting to see the platform hit the market.”

Users are able to choose if they want to use the latest Eclipse Ganymede release, stay on the Eclipse Europa stack, or utilize both versions in separate tools configurations with Pulse. With this flexibility, users will not hinder current preferences, projects or environments, as well as provide a great way to test new Ganymede features.

“Migration to a new platform often has corresponding time and debugging costs,” said Todd Williams, vice president of technology for Genuitec. “With Pulse, individuals and teams will have an easy way to alleviate that transition.”

In addition to Ganymede support, Pulse 2.2 offers an expanded catalog with hundreds of plugins to choose from. Unlike many distribution products, Pulse 2.2 is multiple open source-license compliant.
