Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. The very benefits of SOA.

Lucky Brand Launches a Unique Consumer-Generated Coupon for the Holidays

Lucky 'Buck Off' online game/discount promotion invites users to 'Buck Off' for savings

NEW YORK, Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Spreading holiday cheer the Lucky Brand way, the company launched a first-of-its-kind consumer-generated coupon and online promotion for the holiday season. The program goes live the first week of December and runs through the New Year at LuckyBuckOff.com.

Users control a green-nosed reindeer and try to "buck off" various holiday characters for discounts in-store and online. The better the user's bucking skills, the greater the discount will be -- up to 30% off any item. To add to the holiday spirit, users also have the option of uploading a photo of themselves to make the game all that more personal. The "buck off" itself is recorded online and available to be shared with friends and family.

LuckyBuckOff.com is the next evolution of online holiday promotions and pass-along websites, combining customized graphics and humor with a direct sales incentive to users. Participants increase their Lucky Brand discount based on their personal game-playing skills.

"Holidays have gotten extremely stressful, especially this year with all the pressures of the economy," says Kristin Patrick, VP Marketing Lucky Brand. With Lucky "Buck Off" we wanted to spread Lucky Brand's sense of humor throughout the world this season, and remind everybody to enjoy life and make sure not to take everything so bucking seriously. Lucky Brand has always had a distinct spot within the retail category, focused on fun and optimism, we wanted to create a program that spoke to Lucky Brand's sense of humor."

The program is being supported with street team activity in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco. Starting on Black Friday and continuing every weekend through the end of the year, the teams will be dispensing scratch-off cards with various discount levels. They will also encourage consumers to visit LuckyBuckOff.com for more discounts. Discount coupons are valid through December 31, 2008.
