Mike Grannan Named COO of RaySat Broadcasting Corporation
Former AT&T Business Development Executive Joins Company to Direct Business Operations as It Launches Revolutionary New AT&T CruiseCast(SM) In-Car Entertainment Service

LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwire) -- 01/07/09 -- CES Booth # 5223 -- Mike Grannan has signed on as the new Chief Operating Officer for RaySat Broadcasting Corporation, the company introducing AT&T CruiseCast(SM) to the market.

AT&T CruiseCast is a breakthrough new in-car entertainment service providing 22 premium satellite TV channels and 20 radio channels of on-the-go, rear-seat entertainment for families, commuters and mobile professionals. The service will be launched in spring 2009.

Grannan, who spent 16 years at AT&T, will be responsible for operations support of RaySat Broadcasting Corporation's ground operations center, customer service, account provisioning and billing, and equipment shipping and logistics.

Prior to joining RaySat Broadcasting Corporation, Grannan served as an Executive Director in Business Development at AT&T's corporate headquarters, and before that in Corporate Strategy. Grannan had been instrumental in AT&T's work targeting the automobile as the next logical venue for video and data services.

In Corporate Strategy, he was responsible for assessing new technologies for evolving AT&T's access network, including fiber to the node and fixed wireless platforms, and monitoring trends in wireless networks and related services. Grannan was influential in setting the strategic direction for the corporation in a variety of areas, including broadband, wireless, Voice over IP, and AT&T's U-verse IPTV video initiative.

Previously, Grannan spent 10 years at AT&T Labs, the company's research and development subsidiary, performing work in Internet data services, speech-based services, and computer telephony. As Executive Director of Internet Data Services, he led a team that evaluated, developed, and recommended new information technologies for deploying IP-based data offerings for AT&T and its affiliates. He has conducted technology assessment and deployment recommendations for IP-based video entertainment services, interactive games platforms, residential gateways and home networking technologies, and IP home servers for AT&T's DSL consumer base.

In a previous capacity, Grannan worked on interactive services utilizing speech recognition, and was the project manager for the largest deployment of voice-activated dialing in U.S. history, available to residential customers in five states.

Prior to joining AT&T, Grannan ran the Midwestern sales operations for two of Steve Jobs' start-up companies, PIXAR and NeXT.

Grannan, who has two patents granted by the U.S. Patent Office and 29 additional patents pending and published, holds a master's degree in Computer Science from Ohio State University, and a MBA from The University of Texas.
