According to MIC's optimistic-scenario forecasts, worldwide VoIP shipment value is expected to reach NT$14.07 billion by 2013 (US$464.9 million; US$1 = NT$33.04), and residential VoIP products share of the global total is expected to account for 64.4% and enterprise VoIP products for 35.6%

Starting in the first half of 2008, saturation in the large enterprise market segment forced VoIP service and equipment providers to shift focus to the SME market; enterprise VoIP demand in emerging markets begins to see strong growth.
