CyberLink and N-Trig Introduce Next-Generation Multi-Touch Enabled Applications at CES

CyberLink Corporation (5203.TW), innovative solutions provider for the connected media lifestyle, and N-trig, providers of DuoSense™ technology, combining pen and capacitive touch in a single device, announced today that they are developing multi-touch-enabled solutions for PCs worldwide. Both companies see a rapid increase in demand for multi-touch gesture applications as more computer manufacturers offer the capabilities at the hardware level for a variety of operating systems.

Working together, the companies are ensuring an excellent, intuitive consumer experience designed to drive mass market adoption. This attention to individual interaction is crucial as more consumers apply it to everyday uses on their computers.

“We applaud CyberLink’s foresight in developing multi-touch initiatives as the marketplace demands more of these applications. We are working closely and diligently to satisfy our common customers, some of the largest PC manufacturers in the world,” said Amichai Ben-David, CEO, N-trig. “This joint development effort allows us both to rapidly expand our offerings, insuring that we deliver exciting multi-touch applications, which are useful, interactive, and fun.”

Alice Chang, CEO of CyberLink remarked that “As one of the world’s leading developers of touchscreen multimedia applications, we highly value our partnership with N-trig, who is advancing innovations in hands-on computing. Working together, we look forward to seeing these exciting new solutions come to the market in the coming year, which we see as a tipping point for multi-touch capabilities.”

Building on their long-term relationship, CyberLink and N-trig will offer demonstrations of complete hardware and software solutions at the 2009 CES show to interested members of the press, and to PC and display manufacturers. Please contact CES2009@n-trig.com to set up an appointment or visit us at the CyberLink Suite (2365) in the Hilton hotel.
