New “EHR-Ready” Family Health History Tool Is Launched

A new version of the Surgeon General’s “My Family Health Portrait” will be released Tuesday, to help consumers more easily assemble family health information that is important for their health care. The new Internet-based tool is ready for use in a patient’s electronic health records (EHRs). The software code for the new tool is also being made openly available for adoption by other health organizations, under their own brand.
