Gary Lawson, Executive at Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals, Joins HighRoads’ Board of Advisors

HighRoads, the company providing employers – for the first time – complete control over their health care costs and compliance, today announced that Gary Lawson, the head of global compensation and HRIT for Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals, has joined the company’s strategic Board of Advisors. Together, the HighRoads Board of Advisors will contribute valuable customer-side insights into continued methods for increasing cost and compliance control for the world’s largest employers.

Lawson, the head of global compensation and HRIT for Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals, is responsible for the design, development and implementation of compensation programs on a global basis. In addition, he is responsible for the development, communication and implementation of a global HRIT strategy to support the company’s globalization initiative. Lawson plans on retiring later this year and dedicate his efforts in supporting HighRoads in their business strategy.

Most recently vice president and a member of the North American Compensation Practice Leadership Group for Watson Wyatt Worldwide, Lawson previously served a term on The Wyatt Company Board of Directors and was the Chairman for the Compensation Practice of The Wyatt Company. Lawson has also served as vice president of corporate compensation for The Citizens and Southern Corporation (C&S), which is now a part of Bank of America, as well as director of compensation and benefits for National Data Corporation. He has also served as the chairman of the board for the Atlanta chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and as a member of the National Compensation and Benefits Committee for SHRM. In addition, he served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Georgia Junior Achievement and Atlanta Center for the Visually Impaired.

Lawson joins HighRoads’ existing Board of Advisors members which include:
