Acresso Software announced a new, multi-year OEM agreement with Novell to provide a broader AdminStudio application readiness solution set to Novell ZENworks customers. Expanding on the capabilities available under a long-standing agreement with Novell, the complete AdminStudio Standard Edition will now be included in Novell ZENworks Configuration Management, addressing customers' need to streamline customization steps during the preparation of reliable Windows application packages for enterprise deployment.

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management helps customers manage both medium and large-scale enterprise IT environments, combining AdminStudio's MSI repackaging, application customization, and deployment handoff capabilities.

When compared to the AdminStudio Limited Edition, which continues to be available to Novell ZENworks 7 customers, AdminStudio Standard Edition empowers customers with advanced customization capabilities for modifying applications before deploying them in the enterprise. Via the Editor component, based on the Acresso industry-leading InstallShield product, customers can make application modifications via a user-friendly interface. Some examples include the removal of undesired features, inclusion of company standard templates, setting short-cut preferences, and modification of conditional logic that controls the behavior of the installation.

Over 10,000 companies around the world use AdminStudio to manage application readiness around OS migrations and new application rollouts for traditional (MSI) and virtualized environments. AdminStudio prepares applications for deployment, and has been chosen as the repackaging solution for Novell ZENworks, LANDesk Management Suite and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
