Winpak Ltd. Obtains Exclusive Global Rights to Manufacture Pharmaceutical and Health Care Packaging Materials Under Licence From Reynolds Packaging LLC

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/30/09 -- Winpak (TSX: WPK) is pleased to announce that it has concluded an agreement, effective April 1, 2009, whereby it will have the exclusive rights to use Reynolds Packaging LLC formulations and Drug Master File (DMF) specifications to produce packaging materials used in the pharmaceutical and health care industries.

Reynolds Packaging LLC, with its principal place of business in Richmond, Virginia, announced in 2008 that it would no longer be producing packaging materials for specific pharmaceutical and health care products. To minimize any inconvenience for its customers, and to provide for an efficient transition, Reynolds agreed to licence its know-how to Winpak for its Drug-Pak® and Safety-Pak® brands in addition to other specialty packaging products used in these markets.

Winpak Ltd. manufactures and distributes high-quality packaging materials and related packaging machines. The Company's products are used primarily for the protection of perishable foods, beverages, and in pharmaceutical and health care applications.
