Learn to Dance for Your Wedding With The Dance Doctor John Cassese's Feature-Packed DVD

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/16/09 -- A bride and groom's first dance at their wedding reception sets the tone for the entire event. Now couples everywhere can learn to make an elegant entrance and nail that first dance with veteran dance instructor/choreographer John Cassese's DVD, "Learn to Dance for Your Wedding." Cassese, who teaches dancing to Hollywood celebrities and L.A.'s elite at the John Cassese The Dance Doctor studio in Santa Monica, Calif., has taught hundreds of people to dance in preparation for their weddings, including Trista and Ryan of "The Bachelorette," The Edge from U2 and Adam Sandler.

The Dance Doctor teaches Fox Trot, Waltz and Salsa on the "Learn to Dance for Your Wedding" DVD ($59.95), which comes with a step-by-step instruction booklet. A preview of the DVD is available at http://www.dancedoctor.com/store.html.

"Every bride and groom should feel confident on the dance floor at their reception," says Cassese. "Learning to dance well together is not as complicated as people think. I created my wedding DVD so people could learn and practice dance at home, so they look and feel their best on one of the most important days of their lives."

Cassese offers the following tips for looking great on the dance floor at your wedding:

-- "Dancing begins with posture! The best way to acquire good posture is
to back up against a wall with your heels, calves, buttocks, shoulders and
head against the wall. Do this several times a day.
-- Keep your eyes at eye level -- always. This helps keep your head up:
if your eyes look down it pulls your head down, which is a sign of
    insecurity.
-- Keep the connection with your partner by creating slight resistance
between your hands. The lady should also lean her left shoulder blade into
the man's right hand to establish a better connection for improved leading
    and following.
-- When in doubt, do a basic step until you KNOW what you want to do
    next.
-- Have fun!"

John Cassese The Dance Doctor provides individual and group dance lessons, theatrical consulting, choreography and performance and is located at 1440 Fourth Street in Santa Monica, Calif. 90401. For more information or to order DVDs, visit www.dancedoctor.com, or call 310-459-2264.
