Dont underestimate the SLA's role in accountability. For companies that have dynamic requirements and no down time can be afforded, make sure you have very tight SLAs. For example, OpSource provides a 100% SLA in the cloud and 100%SLA around production application environments. Now 100% is ideally perfect, it comes down to accountability, yo...

StillSecure and Microsoft Work Together to Deliver Interoperable Solution for Microsoft Forefront Code Name "Stirling" Environment
Strategic Relationship Enables Customers to Leverage Combined Solution to Better Protect Against Attacks

SUPERIOR, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 04/16/09 -- StillSecure®, provider of comprehensive network security products and services, today announced interoperability between its solutions and Microsoft Forefront code name "Stirling." Currently in public beta testing, Forefront "Stirling" is an integrated security suite that delivers comprehensive protection across endpoint, application servers and edge solutions with a central management console for easy administration and enterprise-wide multi-product visibility.

Forefront "Stirling" enables software, hardware, and services vendors to share and use security event information across the "Stirling" environment and the broader partner ecosystem. Through the sharing of security event information, "Stirling" partners can enhance the effectiveness of their security technologies and better protect customer IT environments.

As a Forefront "Stirling" partner, StillSecure has integrated its Strata Guard® IDS/IPS solution and VAM® vulnerability management platform within the Microsoft environment. By sharing security event information on attacks and vulnerabilities associated with endpoint devices, StillSecure is able to better protect customer IT environments running "Stirling." The joint solution provides deep endpoint management and control that allows for increased network protection with simplified management capabilities via the "Stirling" ecosystem.

"Microsoft is pleased to work with StillSecure to develop interoperability between Forefront 'Stirling' and both Strata Guard and VAM, in order to give our customers more comprehensive and responsive security across the enterprise," said John Chirapurath, director in the identity and security business group at Microsoft. "Microsoft is committed to collaborating with top industry vendors and providing solutions that help organizations more effectively achieve their business goals. We call this 'business-ready security.'"

"Interoperability is a core pillar at StillSecure, and we are excited to be working with Microsoft as they prepare to release the next generation of their Forefront integrated security solution," said Brad Doctor, Vice President of Technology at StillSecure. "Using our IDS/IPS and vulnerability management system in conjunction with the 'Stirling' environment helps customers more easily maintain total control over network devices."

A demonstration of the StillSecure solution integrated with Microsoft Forefront "Stirling" will be on display at the upcoming RSA conference. Please visit StillSecure's booth, #453, for details.
