WeatherBug Announces Application for the iPhone
Full radar animation and six additional contour layers including infrared satellite, humidity, air pressure, and wind speed

WeatherBug, a leading provider of live, local weather information for consumer and professional users, today announced that its new Elite application for the iPhone and iPod touch is available on the Apple App Store. The new WeatherBug Elite app for iPhone and iPod touch will be free of advertising and includes: full radar animation and six additional contour layers including infrared satellite, humidity, air pressure, and wind speed.
"With more than two million downloads to date since our original launch, the WeatherBug iPhone and iPod touch application has been a winner with customers worldwide," said Chris Brozenick, vice president and general manager of WeatherBug Mobile. "Now, with new animated radar capabilities and additional layers of weather content, customers can have an even more interactive and personal experience while receiving truly live, local weather conditions for their home or thousands of locations around the globe."
In addition, customers using the WeatherBug Elite application will now receive:
-- Enhanced seven-day forecast and hourly forecasts;
-- Enhanced current conditions section -- now with 12 distinct observations;
-- Touch anywhere map technology enables users to "drop a pin" and view current weather conditions for location;
-- Full presentation of entire National Weather Service alerts;
-- Time-lapse animation for weather cameras;
-- Unlimited location settings; and
-- Two new weather map layers: temperature contour and satellite infrared
