Ruckus Wireless Launches WiSE Guy Certification Program for its Smart Wi-Fi Systems

Wi-Fi Solutions Engineer (WiSE) Certification Gives Ruckus Big Dog Partners the Necessary Knowledge and Skill to Design, Manage and Support Next Gen Smart Wi-Fi Networks

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Ruckus Wireless(TM) today launched the Ruckus WiSE Guy (Wi-Fi Solutions Engineer) Smart Wi-Fi certification program for channel partners and end users.

As Wi-Fi networks mature and become smarter to support a myriad of applications from real-time streaming IP multicast video to voice over Wi-Fi, the Ruckus WiSE Guy certification program was developed to help channel partners, integrators and end users better cope with the nuances of indoor and outdoor wireless deployments using patented dynamic beamforming Wi-Fi technology.

"In a short period of time, Ruckus has established a following for delivering carrier-quality Wi-Fi products and world class support services that go along with it," said Kyung Yi, vice president of Customer Advocacy at Ruckus Wireless. "The explosive growth in the number of Ruckus solution partners, along with our installed base of wireless systems, has driven the need for a formal certification program."

Since the introduction of ZoneFlex Smart wireless LAN system two years ago, Ruckus Wireless has seen its worldwide channel network grow from zero to nearly 1,500 partners today. In addition, Ruckus now has now shipped 1.5 million Ruckus-branded Wi-Fi systems worldwide.

Intended for Wi-Fi network designers, system engineers, and technical support personnel, Ruckus WiSE Guy certification enables Ruckus BIG DOG Partners and network administrators to differentiate themselves by proving their proficiency in deploying next generation, reliable Ruckus Smart WLAN systems.

The worldwide WiSE Guy certification program includes Ruckus WiSE Guy boot camps in Asia, Europe and the U.S. At an introductory promotional price of USD $350 per person, Ruckus WiSE Guy boot camps include two days of hands-on instructor-led training and certification testing. The first boot camp is scheduled for June 15th and 16th in Singapore.

Ruckus WiSE Guy certification is valid for two years from the examination date. Certified individuals will have demonstrated a strong understanding of ZoneFlex product details and the ability to properly design, deploy, manage, and support Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi network solutions. Upon completion and successful certification, Ruckus WiSE Guys may be armed with WiSE cracks to keep customers at bay in the event of any problems that require a quick response.
